Vaccination

Vaccination (for example against paramyxovirus) is often recommended depending on use (races, gatherings). Discuss it with your vet.

Warning signs — see a vet if you notice:
  • A crop that stays full (crop stasis), regurgitation, diarrhoea
  • Yellowish deposits in the mouth (trichomoniasis/canker)
  • Neurological signs, a twisted neck (torticollis), drooping wings

When to see a vet?

  • Promptly for any digestive, respiratory or neurological problems
  • If birds in the group are dying
